Attention! Vivid blues may burn your retinas. XD
At least that happened to me.

Somehow my scanner can't cope with blue vivid colours and shadings. This is a totally new side I just got to know of it. *wags finger towards her scanner* It could cope with it after trying out different adjustments because I don't like changing things in Photoshop since it could spoil the original picture so much.

It took me quite a bunch of time but I'm very pleased with the result. When I finally considered the picture as finished, I noticed that there is something missing so I added a couple of oak leaves to it. XD Just imagine it without... it would be just.. naked. XP

I struggled with the colouring of the wings because I had to put several layers of coloured pencil on them to get to this result. That took me a very long time too. But in the end, it was so much fun to draw especially the face of him and the background which i kept rather simple. :3

So when you say "several layers of coloured pencil", you mean your sprayed workable fixitive over the picture once you were ready add another layer of color?
