Acer Gryphonby *AlectorFencer

FINALLY! After a few difficulties with colour decisions, I could make it to the end!
I probably had over a 50 layers, which helped me not to freak out with my decision swaps going on ALL THE TIME!
First I wanted to have a daytime set, then nigttime and so on and so on until I grabbed the gradient tool and a few randomly mixed colours and came to the final idea that fits to this creature.

I'm planning to do more pictures with this Acer Gryph. I'm also thinking of doing a description sheet for it.

I'm really pleased with the result. My small finger isn't... it's twisted.
For the ones who don't know what the thing on its neck is, it's a pouch. There are a few birds in real life, which have that too. It's mainly used to impress mates.
And that's what the Acer Gryph takes advantage from as well.

***Wow, I woke up this morning and stumbled o the bathroom totally tired, rubbed my sleepy eyes and couldn't believe what I looked like as all of a sudden my partner flies down the stairs and crashes against the bathroom door and screams: "YOU GOT A DD! LALALALALA!!!"

Thank you sooooo much for that!! I can't believe how happy I feel now. *hugs everyone*

This is really impressive! I just love the warm and cool lighting effects!
Such good work with the highlights! The eyes have an amazing depth, too!
I must say, the chest is quite a piece of work! I love the almost-slimy look it's got - very unexpected and original!

When its going to association blue with red, than becomes something unusual. This fiery red makes him more aggressive and shining blue on his back and dark blue behind him, calm him down. This is what i think ^^

And one more thing - so many details! <schock>
I saw it too when u draw plants.

This is an amazing piece. I like your detail on the pryphon as well as the detail to the background. I have been trying to draw gryphons for a while. I guess now I have something to look forward to if I ever get that far.
