Finally. After bumming around on this picture being sidetracked by my thoughts over the past weeks and a proximate depressive phasis of my life, I finally gt to finish this piece.
The jumbo commission for :iconarlaan: of his white dragon Arlaan. The name itself is so cool that I had to use it as the main title of this picture. I wasn't actually trying out new techniques but I was trying to use them differently without feeling strange or worrying about colours and shapes.
I really need to practice colouring.

A big thank to Rhynn for being such an inspiration and for her striking dragon anatomy that always makes my eyes plop out wenever I see a picture of hers.

I hope you like it. ^^

Awww, these shiny markings and color scheme in the face look especially pretty. :)
I also like the scales of the neck, and paws. They seem to stress the elegance of the pose.

I hope your depressions will be over as quickly as possible. :hug:

Those colors are to die for XD I think that having the warm colored background helped this pop ^^ But I think adding some orange to the mountains would help unify the picture further :heart:

A great pic :+fav: I love the lighting on the scales on the neck and the look of the face. Background great, the fire leading in to smoke and the detail on the wing membrane must have taken forever. The form of the dragon just looks so natural, so ... real.

Its rear, left leg's ankle looks.. slight odd I think, it draws my eye I'm not sure why. (might just be me)

But as always your art is great :) I wish I could draw dragons looking as good as yours do.
