Artist's Comments DoI stands for Dragons of Incense. I started working on my dragon series yesterday because the idea was in my head for ages. The idea is to give my most favourite incense the face of a dragon. The spiritual meaning and the fraquance will be the most important attributes for the dragon faces. This is the Styrax sketch. I want to colour this as soon as I can and give you a better explaination about this one. And yes I know there are many dragon series out there but since I'm addicted in drawing dragons and love creating them as well, I want to make a bond between my imagination and the incense that is always around me and in my house. :3 Absolutely no references were used. I started sketching it and then liked the results. It was supposed to be a simple sketch but I just couldn't stop adding more and more details.  Sorry for the misplaced watermark. I know it looks ugly there but I didn't want to spoil the nice details aroind the face. XP Edit: I forgot to mention that I tried to model this one in ZBrush... but I'm absolutely not far enough to start working in such high details within that program.  It's just too complex.  Please don't copy, alter or redistribute! |

Sometimes I need to hover above the sketch not to smudge it accidentally. It makes my hand shiver a bit which is good for rough sketches like this one.
