Sometimes our mind allows us to imagine a glimpse of light and colour even in the darkest places.
A good friend, who is an awesome photographer tried to take a best as possible picture in a very light polluted area where the picture was exhibited. He really tried the best to capture this painting behind the glass and I removed the reflection and noise as best as possible.
The reason was the time the picture was finished because it was the morning before the journey to the MMC (Mephit Mini Con - Germany) and I only had three hours of sleep that night. I seriously never ever expected that someone will buy this large painting of 50 x 60 cm for a rather good price. So I thought I will take it home and THEN take pictures/scan it. XD
Well, it found a new home now. I'm really thankful for it but also a little sad. I wish I had a proper scan or sharp photo. I won't be able to make prints of it so this is the only possibility to enjoy the eye-burning leaves. Just imagine all the details. XD
The painting was done with acrylics and acrylic inks. That was my very first proper acrylic painting because I wanted to get used to it. It's quite a lot of fun I must say!
Mephit Mini Con was a blast again and I really can't wait until next year! I'm heading back to commissions now and try to enjoy the nice weather again.
The colors and details are amazing. Especially the fur looks so good I would like to bury my nose in it I also like very much how the leaves fade and are less and less detailed which makes it more plastic for me and underline the almost palpable drakness of the background. Really nice
