An interpretatory title for the ones who love thinking about stories and who may see the end of the story of the loner. He takes the last steps to end his story. Forsaken are his fights. Forsaken is the loner.
This was an experimental painting of something emotional. I didn't upload it until now and I hope the ones who saw it in real life could enjoy it whilst time would have let them. The one who got it and took it home also took a bunch of emotions and time with them.
Thanks a lot for your supporting and encourageing words about this image.
This was the very first time I put my hands on an entire acrylic painting. I used no other materials than acrylics on MDF, so nothing that absorbs paint just as paper does. It took me one week to think about this imag, to concept it and to finish it. The painting progress was a lot of fun because I felt free to smear paint with my fingers, the painting knives, tooth brushes and cloths. I destroyed two mugs, one toothbrush and several brushes and my fingers just looked like the painting itself.
I found the frame at a dark antique-cellar and bought it from there. It must be really old but I'm really addicted to old and damaged frames. I actually wanted to damage the frame using a hammer to describe the image even better but some people complained at the con because the frame is damaged. XD
I find myself drawn to this particular piece. To me, it shows the constant struggle between a loners light and dark side. Often the version we chose to show the public vs. the side we know ourselves to be, all the while just drifting into obscurity until forgotten. The wolf himself, accepting his fate for what it is. No emotion, no final struggle or great end, just the gradual decay from a constant war with two sides from within.... But that's just me. Love the Artwork.
