The Story Of A Loner by AlectorFencer The Story Of A Loner by AlectorFencer
An interpretatory title for the ones who love thinking about stories and who may see the end of the story of the loner. He takes the last steps to end his story.
Forsaken are his fights.
Forsaken is the loner.

This was an experimental painting of something emotional. I didn't upload it until now and I hope the ones who saw it in real life could enjoy it whilst time would have let them. The one who got it and took it home also took a bunch of emotions and time with them.

Thanks a lot for your supporting and encourageing words about this image.

This was the very first time I put my hands on an entire acrylic painting. I used no other materials than acrylics on MDF, so nothing that absorbs paint just as paper does. It took me one week to think about this imag, to concept it and to finish it. The painting progress was a lot of fun because I felt free to smear paint with my fingers, the painting knives, tooth brushes and cloths. I destroyed two mugs, one toothbrush and several brushes and my fingers just looked like the painting itself.

I found the frame at a dark antique-cellar and bought it from there. It must be really old but I'm really addicted to old and damaged frames. I actually wanted to damage the frame using a hammer to describe the image even better but some people complained at the con because the frame is damaged. XD

Guys, I do that intentionally.

Acrylics, 60 x 70 on MDF.

Here are some photos of the image! :]

I find myself drawn to this particular piece. To me, it shows the constant struggle between a loners light and dark side. Often the version we chose to show the public vs. the side we know ourselves to be, all the while just drifting into obscurity until forgotten. The wolf himself, accepting his fate for what it is. No emotion, no final struggle or great end, just the gradual decay from a constant war with two sides from within.... But that's just me. Love the Artwork.

:) I really like this piece -- the disintergrating into the background. Especially how you did it with the sword, welll done there.

Just a question, is the right side rocks supposed to kind of have a faint look of looking like crashing water? If not, it's still an interesting effect, accidental or otherwise. Almost abstract. I like it.

Oh this is so amazing and you can see the display of emotion going on, on the wolfs face.
The light fading into darkness with him moving into the darkness at the same time adds even more emotion to the painting.

Well done!

An astounding piece - one of your best!:heart::clap::wow: I adore the contrast in the tones of the background from left to right <3 The central character is brilliantly done too - I am in love with the shine on that armour, and the piece is full of so much energy and emotion, with so many different interpretations! :worship:

And is it possible that it looks even more fantastic in the frame? I don't see why people wouldn't see that what you do is intentional.
