Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang.

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

One of my dreams that have become true and alive..

I thought I want to dedicate a journal for this special gift that was given to me a couple of days ago, by two wonderful talented artists wo realised a dream that I always wanted to become reality.
Ever since I found out that music supports my dreams and make pictures and visions move, it has become one of the most important things in my life. I listened to music to flee from reality, I listened to it when I felt great, sad, angry, and I build up daydreams with music. If I don't listen to music, I whistle or I listen to the music that plays in my head.

I can play a couple of instruments yet I'm not much of a musician nor could I ever play a proper music pice I think.

This is what other great talents are for, the ones who are blessed with music and who are able to create it.
Ever since I played dreams in my head when I listened to music, I could see my characters and stories move along and I always wished to have something for my own that is dedicated to my characters, to the stories I write and to the pictures I create!

And this really has become reality a couple of days ago.

I want to feature Foxamoore and foxcall for their utter talent, love and passion which they both have to create music.
Foxcall made the wonderful violin play that accompanies with the soundtrack that Foxamoore composed.

They both gave me something wonderful of what I'm still in loss of words, namely in making the theme of "Myre".
I will do my best to get this story started by the middle of next year. Since there is real music that describes the tales of Myre, things are settled for me. It must be done.

Ich habe auch immer meine eigenen Kopfkinos, wenn ich bestimmte Lieder höre. *lach* Oder gebe meine Laune in Geklimpere am Klavier wieder.
Foxamoore und Foxcalls Lied für dich hat mir echt die literarische Kinnlade runtergerissen. Bis auf den Violinenpart hat Foxamoore das wirklich ALLES selbst musiziert? Ich weiß, dass es Programme gibt, um ein Orchesterstück zu komponieren, aber die verschiedenen Instrumente in dem Lied klingen alle verdammt ... undigital, wenn du verstehst, was ich meine.

Als hätte da wirklich ein riesiges Orchester gespielt.

The picture is amazing, and the music for it is just... beyond the words. It could be easily put in a movie! It's so amazing I've been listening to it over and over again! I think it's perfect for the theme of your story I can feel from looking at the picture. Wow. Just wow.

Ah, being a flutist/violinist and a beginner musician myself, I just can't help seeing pictures flowing before my eyes when I hear beautiful music. I could totally see Myre turn into an animated movie with this playing on the background as those characters continue their search
