About My FeonixesTo clarify now, these are my little critters (some of these examples are owned by other people)

In the past I've sold 'adoptables' of these guys. I created designs and color patterns ect and sold them. I've also done custom Feonixes where people have some freedom on what they want their design to look like.
Now I'm getting tired of adoptables since I'm selling a lot of designs I would have otherwise used in some fashion. But I'm also kinda tired of quietly defending my ideas. The whole feather thing went wild recently and I no longer feel like I can hold the idea too strongly anymore. The craze has even got me confused with thinking someone drew a Feonix and it was their own 'species.' I will still try to come up with unique ways to incorporate them onto my manxed critters in any case.

Why are quality artists expensive?In short, because you are also paying for all of the un-paid hours those artists spent researching, studying, practicing and honing their skills. For your average professional, that's thousands of hours. That's a lot of non-paid preparation time that needs to be made up for. That, and of course freelancers have to compensate for their financial insecurity and lack of employment benefits (think of a pension, sick leave, health insurance and paid holidays). This is, in a nutshell, why professional freelance artists are so expensive.
I'm just clearing this up for those people who ask for "pro-quality art" and are then surprised that they will need more than $20 to afford it.
It is also for those beginning freelancers who undersell themselves dramatically because they feel they should adapt to their clients' unwillingness to pay for their hard work. I know, I'm actually guilty of having done so myself and yes I lost the majority of the clients I had by doubling my prices, but I also

I think the interactions between the artist and watchers - and whole community relationships thing - is one of the most vital parts that our creations exist. Writers have fans, travelers, artists, illustrators, companies, fashion bloggers etc. and so on. You may call it as a "fanbase", thus I prefer to not call because "fans" and "fanbase" has a lot of negative stereotypes and image about blindly screaming "minors". What am I specialized in ?
As I've always been drawing animals it has become my speciality. I am still practicing on on drawing humans and other creatures as well. But still I am at my best when drawing animals (; Also I have a heart for character designing. I've done a couple of reference sheet commissions in my past based on a description the commissioner gave me. (it's like translating words to a character, which I consider one of my abilities).
Though those are my specialities I am willing to draw other subjects as well, I will always study new subjects before I start on them so if someone commissions me something I've never drawn before I will automatically practice before I start on the real drawing. It's also a way of learning for me so don't be afraid to ask me to draw something I've never drawn (; !

It can be any kind of creature (feline, canine, dragon, bird... anything!) and must be noticed that this new been came from Runy and Sol! How? It's up to you!!

This unique, hand sculpted, fully poseable, fantasy "Fire Wolf" is a rare piece of artwork being offered up for bid! This is a completely hand made fantasy creature. I hand sculpted the face and feet onto a posable skeleton that I made and wrapped with stuffing so its very soft. I then paint the clay parts with acrylics and small brushes. The eyes are hand painted as well.. Synthetic hand dyed fur.

Some of you might remember my previous journal with a list of brush-sets I've tried out and found very useful. Today I bring you more!
And honestly I must say that those few new sets contain absolutely everything one needs (I won't join the discussion that a real artist needs only one brush, because it's absolutely true but makes things much less fun and fancy ;))
After downloading and installing a brush set always test every single brush - play with it on a clear canvas, test it in different colours and using different strokes. Pick only those which you like and know how to use, delete the others or at least move them to the bottom of the list, leaving the most often used at the top.
