Actually, I do feel sad if I put time into a comment and it isn't replied too. Now, I do understand that many good artists don't have the time to reply to every "Great picture" one-liner people toss at them. But if a person puts time into their comment to an artist, I feel that something should be said back, unless they're an artistic rockstar with an unreasonable amount of such comments. Even still though, I feel as though a mildly personalized "Thank you" should be given even if the artist doesn't have time to reply in more appropriate length.
