Heh, sorry for the late response, finals are coming up and I haven't checked my dA in a while. Yeah, I like to get a latte to wind down and get ready for bed. I'm not entirely sure what causes the reverse, so I can't help you there; but I do know that the stronger it is, the sleepier I become. I'm not certain that its the caffeine, tea and sodas don't effect me too much.
I first learned the effects of coffee when I was dining with friends and we all had IHOPs bottomless coffee, and they were all wound up yet I was on the verge of sleep.
I don't dare take energy drinks, I wouldn't want to even think of the possibilities.
We have a french press here, I actually put the coffeemaker away and we haven't used it in a couple years now. XD
But my true love when I need to wake up is Turkish coffee (well, mine's a Greek roast - slightly lighter than Turkish). Ground down so fine it's like cocoa powder, mix it straight into the water with some sugar and drink the lot. They SAY you should leave the dregs, but screw that! Those are nommy!
Coffee is an essential ingredient for me every day, I get up with him, when I come home from work to relax me with him, for me it's almost like a must have coffee daily, so if I do not smoke! Never I liked the cigar.Could say that coffee is the one who inspires me to get up every day, starting from the smell to the taste, are those that give me good morning.
Love coffee, drink it pretty much every day, but the fact that I just realised I haven't had any in the last week and am totally hyper right now suggests that I'm not as addicted as my friends think XD
I have a little coffee mug that I take to work to drink, and I only take it when I work morning/opening shifts, not when I close at night or work midlle shift. I love coffee a lot, but I don't need to drink it each morning to survive, only on the days I have to get up at 4:30 a.m., or whatever. I'd rather drink water or iced tea! ^^
